DESCRIPTION
For your consideration & your collection, I present you with this antique Curley’s “IDEAL” Safety Razor that was manufactured sometime between 1864-1921. This razor is known as a transitional razor due to it’s unique design that allows it to be used like a straight razor, but with an adjustable blade guard so it still remains safe. This razor is in great condition, especially for it’s age ~ it shows normal signs of wear from handling & use. The scales and both pins are original to this razor, and it has not been repaired in any way, form, or fashion. It has been lightly polished in order to remove mild traces of oxidation, however it has not been refinished in any way. Both ends of the blade guard are threaded, which in turn allows the blade guard to be moved up & down to suite your personal shaving preference. The photos pretty much show how the razor works, but if you have , feel free to ask. As always, satisfaction is guaranteed with this item ~ if it is not as described, you can return it for a full refund, no questions asked. This razor has not been honed, therefore it is not being sold as a shave ready razor. If you would like to shave with this razor, you will need to have it honed prior to shaving. it comes to our shipping, we ship super fast, and our packing has been
described by many as “bulletproof!”. View our feedback page to see for

Shave ready razors are shipped clean, sterilized, and vacuum sealed.
We do what we can to keep your shipping cost down. When an item is
shipped and we find that a customer has overpaid on shipping, we refund
the difference to the buyer. We reserve the right to change
shipping companies, and shipping services at any time during the process
of any transaction, although this is rarely the case.
insurance will no longer be offered on any packages whether domestic, or
international as of September 1, 2009 per website’s new policy which
prohibits us FROM OFFERING INSURANCE TO YOU on your items. If this is a
problem for you, then please contact us so that the proper arrangements
can be made. Some countries charge fees or taxes for conducting business
outside of that country, however we are not responsible for any customs
fees; the buyers is responsible for any & all customs fees.
INTERNATIONAL
CUSTOMERS PLEASE NOTE: Let’s face it, international
shipping cost vary by a wide margin from seller to seller, making these
costs very complicated and frustrating to understand. Unfortunately,
most sellers whom ship overseas are not aware of the constantly changing
PayPal policies which they are supposed to be following when shipping
items to international customers, which is why many sellers offer
shipping options that are much cheaper than the options that we currently
offer. It is quite a task to keep up with the constant policy changes
that sellers must follow when selling on website, and although shipping
charges may seem rather high, we are no longer allowed to use cheaper
shipping options for our international customers. WHY? There are 2 reasons that shipping costs for international customers is higher than it once was:
1. USPS recently increased their prices at the beginning of 2012, which
means most registered packages that did costs $18.75 now cost us $25.50;
and USPS Express packages that did costs $26.95 now costs $38.00
2. Paypal’s policy states that all packages, including international shipments, must be shipped with DELIVERY CONFIRMATION
in order to comply with the buyer/seller protection policy. We are
aware that most of the items we sell can be shipped in flat rate
priority boxes at a lower rate, however that shipping service DOES NOT comply with paypal’s policy, and we as sellers are not covered under the seller protection policy when we use cheap shipping methods such as International Flat Rate Priority Mail.
What does this mean?
This means that any buyer can claim they never received their package,
and we will be responsible for refunding that buyer’s full payment
unless we can provide proof of shipment AND confirmation of delivery.
Since most of our items are being sold by us through our consignment
service, then we would not only be responsible for refunding the buyer’s
full payment, we would also be responsible for paying our consignment
customer for the item, essentially, we would be paying for this item
twice. In some cases international buyers’ banks have requested proof of
delivery without the buyers’ knowledge, even after the customer has
left positive feedback for the item they have received, and if we can
not provide that proof of delivery, then PayPal removes the payment from
our account, and refunds it to the buyer’s account.
We know that 99.9% of buyers are good honest people whom would never
make a false claim, however there are those few whom would exploit these
paypal policies in order to retrieve their payment once the item has
been received by them, and we simply can not afford to cover the losses
caused by those few. We NEVER make any profit on shipping costs, EVER!
If you over pay on shipping, then we always refund any overpayment.
ALL items shipped international MUST be shipped USPS Registered Mail at a costs of $25.50. Combined shipping may be available for multiple
purchases, however the total weight & value of all items purchased will determine your
exact shipping costs. You will NEVER
pay more than your actual shipping
costs. Any overpayment will be refunded to your account once your
shipping label is printed, and once your package has been registered
with our local post office.
CANADA:
Same rules apply, however your shipping charges are generally lower
than the ones we have listed above, however any amount you over pay in
shipping will also be refunded to your account once your package has
been registered with the postal service.

In most cases our items come clean and sterile, and will arrive to you ready for use straight out of the package. We use only new packing material, and most shaving items are sent in a sealed & sterile containers, however it is always recommended that you sterilize your items upon arrival to insure your personal protection. We are not a large company, we are a husband and wife team, and we are human, so we may sometimes make a mistake, therefore if you buy an item from us and find something that we missed, or if you have any problems with your purchase, then please contact us so the problem may be resolved accordingly. Due to trouble with items not getting paid for, we encourage members with a score of zero to contact us prior to bidding, otherwise your bid may be canceled, and you may be blocked from items in the future.
