I am admittedly at a loss here to be precise on this item. My speculation of country of origin (Japan or China) is based upon the characters on the maker’s plate on the top of the device. The compass “floats” in all directions and appears to be somewhat accurate. It has wires which go to a light which would illuminate the compass dial face. I’ve included photos from all directions.
The dimensions are 4 1/8″ tall, 4 5/8″ wide, and 5 1/2″ deep. The condition is excellent as shown in the photos.
