This is an old 18 SIZE salesman sample pocket watch case. It is used and does have wear. The metal appears to be steel, but there are no markings. The front has the slot milled into it for a lever set watch. The front and back are snap lids. There is a working stem and crown on the case. The crown pulls out to a setting spot, and pushes back in to the winding spot. There are glass crystals on each side of the case. Both glass crystals have wear, and the front crystal does have a large chip on the edge of it. This case is for a 18 size movement (I test-fit an Elgin 18 size movement that fit perfectly. That movement in this auction.) The bow on the case is tight to the crown tube, meaning it doesn’t flop around. The bow seems to be “out of the round”, as it looks off center, which can be seen in the pictures.
This is a used item and is being
sold “as is” to be used for spare parts or repair. Please look
at the pictures to judge the condition of the watch.
I am not the original owner of this. The case is part of a large lot of watches and watchmaker related items
that will be listed during the coming weeks.
I accept Paypal as a form of payment. The buyer pays for shipping and insurance, and the item must be shipped with insurance, USPS priority mail. I am a part time e-bay
person. Please feel free to ask and I will do my best to answer
them.
