THANK YOU for considering our beautiful, sparkling and great-running condition Illinois “Bunn Special†model, 16 size, open face, 21 jewels, Model 9, Grade Bunn Special, adjusted to temperature and 6 positions, double roller, gold jewel settings, full gold train, gold balance screws, ¾ nickel plate, stem wind, lever set railroad-grade movement. You can’t go wrong with the Illinois Bunn Specials, that’s for sure! Check out the factory fresh glow to this movement – almost leaps off the “page,†no? This fine Bunn Special model is in superlative working order, with an excellent balance motion that is flat, true, wide-arced and strong-running. The movement is a smooth wind, starts right up on the third wind with no coaxing and lever sets as designed. Its only problem is that its regulator whip is busted, so it’s pretty hard to keep an accurate setting for it and no attempt to time it has been conducted. It runs like a top, though! Cosmetically this Bunn Special is also looking great, with bright, totally 100% tarnish-free winding wheels – a rarity in-and-of itself – and clean plates that show off the glorious Illinois Model 9 damaskeening pattern. The movement does show very minimal and ordinary wear but will be a great acquisition for the lucky top bidder!
