for consideration in an auction, a genuine antique (era 1893 ) in superb original condition, gold/filled U.S. WALTHAM fob watch, fully closed hunter type with 3 lids, the 7 jewel movt. has been fully serviced and is working perfectly.
THIS WAS A CHRISTMAS GIFT IN 1894, ON THE INSIDE DUST COVER THERE IS AN INSCRIPTION AND IT READS (n.y. to o.r.y. dec.25th. 1894 ).
WATCH CASE DESCRIPTION —-the watch case is gold/filled and is a fully closed hunter type with 3 lids that all open and close tightly and the hinges are perfect, both front and back lids are very decorative with embossed art work, over-all condition of this case is near mint and has no issues or gold loss.
WATCH CASE MEASUREMENTS —- 60 mm. with the stem/crown and ring.
40 mm. with out the stem/crown and ring.

WATCH DIAL DESCRIPTION —- the watch dial is of white porcelain and is in mint original condition, no cracks, chips or hair-lines.
all the black roman numerals are very clear and have no defects.
dark blue steel spade hands are original and have no damage or issues.
sub/second dial at number 6, is in working order and is in perfect condition.
the watch glass is (GLASS ) visually very clear and has no damage, mint.
WATCH MOVEMENT DESCRIPTION —- the watch movement is a mechanical wind, made by the famous U.S. watch co. ( WALTHAM ).
SPECIFICATIONS —– stem/wind stem/set —- 7 jewels — size 6/s — grade (seaside ) NL,—- movt. serial number 5927915 dates this watch to circa 1893.
MOVT. CONDITION —- excellent working with a very strong motion, as this movt. has been fully serviced, cleaned, oiled and timed, a full wind of the spring will give 24+ hours of near perfect time keeping.
