Fresh from an incredible estate comes this very unusual antique 10 1/8″ hand enameled and gilded Bohemian bud vase with ground square base, which is 3 1/8″ in diameter. My pictures don’t do it justice. It’s predominantly ruby in color with six elongated clear and panels around the neck profusely hand decorated (raised enameling) which has also been gilded. There are mirror-like ovals around the bulbous portion of the base and around the bottom of the bowl. This is hand made glass and it’s old with shelfwear on the base. The base is ground, but there are still remnants of the pontil. There are chips to the base, as shown. There is also some loss to the gilding. It’s a beautiful thing and its boo-boos can be turned to the wall. Maker is unknown. If you know please share. I have a larger, almost matching vase which I’ve shown in the last photo and which is listed separately. I think these pieces are pretty special and that they will garner significant interest. Accordingly, I am not interested in placing a buy-it-now. I picked up some other wonderful antique Bohemian glass from this sale, so please check my other listings for other great finds. INDEMNIFICATION: I indemnify my packages through InkFrog and you’ll receive an email documenting coverage of the item. In the unlikely event of your having to file a claim, photos of the breakage and shipping box, along with packing materials, must be provided to prove loss and to prove that the item was well packed, which I assure you it will be!
