This beautiful composition doll is 22″ in length. She is dressed in her original clothing and has her original mohair wig. The composition on this doll is almost perfect! The cloth body is clean and free of rips, holes, discoloration and odors. It is firmly stuffed and has a non-working crier in the back. Doll has swing legs and full composition arms. The composition is clean, has no cracks, no crazing that i have noticed, no chips….great coloring and bright face paint….nice rosey blush to knees, tops of hands and cheeks. The wig is dark brown and mohair, in its original set. I have had it covered with a hair net underneath the hat for all these years so it is pressed close to the head. The back of the wig at the lower section has some hair loss, several small sections of the curls are gone.
Face is so nice, original face paint is bright, four teeth and a tongue. Pretty brown eyes with full lashes on well working eyes. The clothes consist of a onsie and cotton dress in blue. The yellow coat and ruffled hat have purple accents, but i think originally it was a bright blue….. i can detect some blue in the folds of the fabric and think it has just faded over time. The coat has large covered buttons and a collar. Both coat and hat are made from a soft textured fabric. Hat has a sweet ruffle around the face. Oilcloth shoes and rayon socks appear to be original also. One shoe is missing its little silver buckle.
This doll is unmarked, and although I have seen this doll in the same exact outfit several times for sale, I have not been able to attribute it to any maker. If you would like additional pictures or information, please contact me. I only ship within the US. THANK YOU FOR LOOKING.
