Rare solid silver cigar piercer by highly collectable silversmith S. Mordan & Co.
The cigar piercer is fully hallmarked:
SM&Co for Sampson Mordan & Co
Lion passant for solid sterling silver
Letter 'A' for 1876
Leopards head for London
The end of the piercer is also hallmarked with a lion passant.
The cigar piercer sleeve is hallmarked with a lion passant and a leopards head.
The point is exposed when the end is pressed, please see photos.
It has a round silver link attached to the sleeve.
Measures 50 mm (not including link) and 8 mm wide at end.
Weight is 8.2 grams.
Excellent condition.
