Early Navy Frigate Nautical Folk Art Painting
This is an Impressive old Oil on wood Board Nautical Folk Art Painting featuring an 18thC Naval Frigate flying what looks to be an American Flag at the Top and a period British Flag at the Rear of the ship. Neither of the flags are highly detailed so it’s hard to say for certain but the colors and the pattern are a match. This painting is on Artist Board from Boston, Mass and may be a SeaScape from that area. This piece is in Excellent Condition to be 100+ years old and would be a Welcome addition to any Folk Art or Nautical Collection.
