900 Solid Silver Vintage Belt Buckle, Tiger & Dragon

Beautiful
and unusual belt buckle, possibly of asian origin, made of solid silver.
The buckle
depicts the figures of a tiger and a dragon faced for combat,
between bamboo
stems and leaves.
Both are
beautifully crafted – the tiger has very finely detailed fur and
stripes and
the scales and hackles of the dragon are perfectly formed.
In the
chinese culture, the dragon symbolizes power and strength – the tiger spirit and
bravery.
Excellent
workmanship – this would be a perfect gift and
certainly a fine addition to a
collection!
Size: 7 x 4.6 cm.
Weight: 36.5 gr.

(both halves): 900
Condition: this is in very good condition, with the
usual small signs of use, commensurate with age.
No damage.
It has been gently polished with a
soft cloth and retains its beautiful, warm patina.
