This auction is for a beautiful 1870s antique doll dress.
The dress is very old but it is in great condition with some minor fading on the printed pattern.
The dress would look great on a China, Paper Mache and Bisque doll.
The sewing is very well done and the detail is just amazing to look at.
There are 5 display buttons in front and 7 buttons in back.
All 7 buttons in back open up completely so it is easy to dress.
All the buttons are amazingly all original.
There are no holes or tears to the dress.
There are some very minor blue pen ink type spots around the waist both in front and the back of the dress.
The doll modeling the dress in the last photo is a 23 1/2″ German doll.
She has a slender composition body so the dress looks a bit bigger on her body.
The French body doll of the same height might be a better fit.
The dress will fit a 24” to 26″ tall doll beautifully but please do make sure that the arm hole will go through your doll’s arm.
