Several different fabric patterns are represented in these quilt blocks including centennial star fabric with two different sized stars.
Centennial star fabric was introduced before 1876 to celebrate the American centennial and is a clue to the date of these quilt blocks.
If you were invited to the home of the woman who made these blocks you could expect lemonaid, no cigar smoking and if a cuss word passed your lips not to be invited back; women may not have had the vote but they often ruled the roost.
Some pieces of centenial star material appear black.
These blocks do not have an oder.
They have been ironed, but are crisp and appear unwashed.
They are in . I found one hole, the size of a pencil eraser in the corner of one of the blocks which is pictured in the last photo.
That block also has indigo & white fabric that is not centennial star fabric.
