You are One of Walker’s Rarest and Substantial Logs – A Walker’s “COMMODORE” Electric Log, made in England by Thos.Walker & Son Ltd., Birmingham. Developed by Thomas Ferindand Walker for use by larger sailing vessels. Circa early 1900’s I am told that this is used to measure how fast a maritime vessel is traveling. It does not have the spinner that goes into the water but the main part is here. This is a heavy piece. I am listing this with no reserve. A great piece to add to your maritime collection
