It’s an old Grandfather Clock hand painted dial and the heavy brass movement.
The dial is made of iron with a hand painted surface.
-The hands are very ornate.
-We can’t make out the name on the dial.
The clock movement has a small dial to keep track of the days in the month as well as keep time.
The dial is 18 1/2″ tall x 13″ wide. The movement and dial weighs over 9 pounds.
We don’t know if the movement works, but when I turned one of the smaller inner wheels on the movement, several wheels turned and when turned more, the bell on top rang. The wheels turn fairly easily by hand.
We think the movement dates late 18th century to mid 19th century.
Scarce original tall case clock movement and dial.
Fresh from a Missouri barn where it has been stored for many years.
