This is a Beautiful Vintage Illinois 16 Size, 21 Jewel, 161E, SIXTY Hour, Bunn Special Pocket Watch, in a Beautiful VERY Popular Illinois Bunn Special case Model #107 14K White gold filled, with a beautiful White, Porcelain, Double Sunk, Illinois Dial, with Beautiful Steel PIUM Hands and second hand. This is a Beautiful Lever Set/Stem wind pocket watch! I checked the time on this watch with the clock on my computer, and it is right on! It has not gained or lost a full minute in 24 hours! You really have to see this watch!! I only wish everyone could hold it, and look at it, before you bid!! 🙂
The Movement reads, Bunn Special, ILLINOIS WATCH, 21 JEWELS, SPRINGFIELD, MOTOR BARREL, ADJUSTED TEMP., AND 6 POSITIONS, (with the word “ELINVAR” on the balance cock), # 5473195 = 1931 production date. The Jewels are set in gold cups, with a really beautiful all GOLD train. This is one of the movements that says “Illinois Watch” with no “Co” on the train bridge. As you can see in the pictures this is a beautiful movement!! There are NO jewelers marks anywhere! This movement has been completely serviced with great care NOT to put any marks on it. Also the case has been cleaned and polished inside and out, so you don’t have to worry about the added expense of having any of this done if you are the lucky winner of this “BEAUTIFUL” Railroad Pocket Watch!
Now, there were only 3,150 of these Bunn Special TYPE 161E movements made that says “Illinois Watch” with no “Co.” in the train bridge!! I wonder how many are left out there??
The Dial is a beautiful White Porcelain, double sunk, Illinois Dial. It has beautiful Steel Plum Hands, and second hand. The dial reads ILLINOIS. This dial is in great condition. if you look really CLOSE you will see a scratch from the center hole to the 60 second mark.
The Beautiful ILLINOIS “BUNN SPECIAL” Hard to find, “model 107” case reads, BUNN SPECIAL, CASE MODEL #107, KEYSTONE WATCH CASE, J.BOSS, 14KARAT GOLD FILLED, #88888. NO, my finger didn’t get STUCK on the key, it really is #88888!! 🙂 Take a close look at this beautiful case!! The Bow is nice and tight. This is one of the most BEAUTUIFUL 14K gold filled Railroad Illinois Pocket Watches that I have had the privilege to show you. You will think that you “went back in time and purchased this watch new” as one of my customers said in his feedback! (Thank you!!)
