This is an adorable Schoenau & Hoffmeister baby that I have had in my collection for many years, it is unusual to find such a tiny size.
She has brown glass eyes which open and close perfectly, all of the original eyelid wax is intact. There are top and lower painted eyelashes and single stroke eyebrows. Her open mouth reveals two original teeth.
I guarantee her head has no hairlines, chips or restorations. It is clearly impressed on the back S ( star with PB inside ) H – 7/0 – Germany.
She measures 10 inches ( 26 cms) .
She is on a five piece composition body, Her fingers and toes are all good with the original red paint strokes. Her torso is the original finish but is quite basic with no sheen, her limbs have a nice original paint finish. I can find no damage or rubbing.
Her brown wig and pate are her originals.
She is wearing a lovely original outfit, long white cotton gown with insertion lace and hand embroidered in blue. A flannelette double under petticoat which has also been very decoratively hand embroidered in blue. A white cotton vest and diaper type pantees which do up at the front with three buttons. Her bonnet is broderie anglais.
