Spectra Physics Laser Power Meter
Your bid is for a vintage Spectra Physics model 401B HeNe laser power meter with the photodiode head and BNC cord. This is an old, used unit in working condition. The readings from this meter match the readings from our own power meters. The photodiode head is the original one for this meter as the serial number matches the meter serial number. The head has a c-mount thread that will mate to the threads on the aperture of older Spectra-Physics Helium Neon lasers.
The meter does not require a power source. It’s powered from the photodiode itself. The meter will work with other wavelengths, but the measurement would require a multiplier. For a green HeNe (543nm), the measurement would need to be multiplied by 1.8. The meter will read 635nm laser diodes correctly.
