As most of you are aware, these LION HEAD (or also sometimes called WOLF’S HEAD) Motif Slot Machines have always been in very high demand due to their distinctive appearance and colors. Consequently they have occasionally been reproduced over the years. THIS IS NOT A REPRODUCTION- IT IS AN AUTHENTIC, ORIGINAL ANTIQUE MILLS SLOT MACHINE. It’s one of the nicest and smoothest playing antique slots I’ve ever had and plays and pays as it should. What particularly is interesting to you coin-op collectors, is that this is already a seldom seen machine in its original form. BUT- here we have a genuine AMERICAN PENNY MACHINE. PENNY machines from this family of Mills Silent mechanism machines are very rare and hard to come by. Very few were ever made in penny coin. In fact I only recall one other original penny Lion’s Head machine that I’ve ever personally seen, and I’ve been collecting and dealing in coin-op collectibles now for 35+years. This restoration was very well done by someone who did things right. The fortune telling reel tapes are original, but the paper payout award card is new and bright. The handle and coin head were nicely chrome plated, the beautiful wood cabinet was refinished, the mechanism was carefully and properly overhauled, and as you can see from the pictures, the painting is gorgeous. It’s an awesome, seldom seen genuine American collectible that’s over 80 years old.You won’t be disappointed in this marvelous piece of authentic AMERICANA INGENUITY. It’s smooth and easy playing mechanism plays and pays as it should. Once again I must stress this great playing beauty is NOT a reproduction!!!! This is a highly desireable, rare model that all collectors want in their collections, yet seldom do they become available. Inside features the highly reliable Mills Silent Bell mechanism with full jackpot and reserve jackpot that automatically refill on their own and dump when three bars are lined up. On the outside is the famous and distinctive “LION’S HEAD” that makes these models so desireable and distinctive. These models were produced in limited numbers and aren’t seen very often- especially in this type of beautiful and restored condition. It has a cash box, and comes with 2 keys and the locking back door. Please note that this lock and key ARE NOT ORIGINAL MILLS STYLES; however they work very well. You can always find an original lock and key for this beauty on E. bay if you want- usually 30 to 50 bucks. It has been mechanically overhauled and lubricated by restoration specialists who are professionals in dealing with antique mechanical slot machines. This will earn a cherished spot in your den or gameroom. You won’t be disappointed in the play of this beauty.
