RARE ANTIQUE ENGLISH GRAVITY CLOCK KEELESS BY WATSON WEBB, WORKING WELL, C1920

RARE
Please note that items are usually dispatched within 10 working days, generally on the next TUESDAY or WEDNESDAY following cleared payment (7 OR 8 DAYS AFTER THE AUCTION). If this constitutes a problem for you, please let me know via the website messaging facility (not email) before bidding and I will do my best to help. Please be aware that I can usually only post once a week! I charge postage at estimated cost plus a bit extra towards expense of bubble wrap and boxes. Overseas packages under 2kgs are usually posted using ISF Registered Airmail, including insurance. This costs £7.45 on top of the normal airmail price; but it is worth the extra cost for safety. Items under £46 in value may be shipped via basic Airmail.

FOR AUCTION HERE IS AN UNUSUAL ” KEE-LESS” GRAVITY OR RACK CLOCK BY THE WATSON WEBB CLOCK CO., IN A BRASS DRUM CASE.  THE BACK OF THE CLOCK IS MARKED “BRITISH MAKE, PAT 15238 / 19”.

THIS CLOCK WINDS AS IT DESCENDS ON TWO BRASS PILLARS (ONE RATCHETED). THE ESCAPEMENT AND PENDULUM ARE VISIBLE THROUGH THE GLASS DIAL.

THE CLOCK MEASURES 10 INCHES IN HEIGHT AND IS IN EXCELLENT VINTAGE CONDITION. THE GLASS IS FINE AND THE PAINTED DIAL IS ALL INTACT.  I HAVE NOT CLEANED THE BRASS AT ALL.

THE CLOCK IS WORKING VERY WELL AT TIME OF SALE, HOWEVER, BEING A VINTAGE ITEM, THIS DOES NOT IMPLY A WARRANTY OR GUARANTEE.

OVERSEAS BUYERS: **IMPORTANT** PLEASE SIGN “UNCHECKED” ON DELIVERY OF YOUR PACKAGE (OR ELSE PLEASE OPEN THE PACKAGE AND CHECK THE CONTENTS BEFORE SIGNING)! FAILURE TO DO THIS WILL AFFECT ANY COMPENSATION CLAIM. ALSO, PLEASE TRY TO BE AVAILABLE TO ACCEPT DELIVERY AT FIRST ATTEMPT. THANK YOU.

.I am happy to ship worldwide, but overseas buyers must pay by Paypal or with a credit or debit card through Paypal. Thank you.

PAYMENT: OVERSEAS BUYERS; PAYPAL ONLY PLEASE!! NO MONEY ORDERS OR FOREIGN BANK DRAFTS, PLEASE. UK BUYERS; Paypal, credit or debit card (via PAYPAL). If postal orders are crossed, they can’t be cashed immediately and must be paid into a bank.

UK POSTAGE: All shipping is via some form of Registered Post. All items are securely packed. UK Postage is via First Class Recorded or Special Delivery. Recorded items are insured only up to £46 in value. Please use Special Delivery option for more valuable items. Insurance up to £500 is included with Special Delivery price. IMPORTANT: SPECIAL DELIVERY DOES NOT MEAN NEXT DAY DELIVERY – THIS POSTAL METHOD IS USED BECAUSE OF THE LEVEL OF INSURANCE AVAILABLE FOR ANTIQUE ITEMS, NOT FOR SPEED OF RECEIPT. Items are usually dispatched within 10 days of cleared payment, generally on the NEXT TUESDAY OR WEDNESDAY following. Please don’t be annoyed by any delay in dispatching, as I have done my best to make you aware of the timescale.

INTERNATIONAL POSTAGE:I will post worldwide, using International Signed For (Airmail), Airsure or COURIER (for heavier items). Items under £46 in value may be sent via basic Airmail. I will not post by Surface Mail, please don’t ask! I use large bubble and strong boxes to pack. PLEASE NOTE: COURIERED packages of ceramics/glass/ antiques cannot at present be insured for damage.

I use large bubble & sturdy, double-walled boxes to pack. These may be heavier than normal boxes (and therefore a bit more costly to ship), but offer a much greater degree of protection for fragile items. All sizes quoted are approximate.
