RARE 1900’s Antique Arts & Crafts Gorham Leaded Slag Stained Glass Lamp

RARE

This is a really RARE, not often offered for sale, Gorham leaded glass lamp. Gorham made some of the nicest lamps of the 1900-1910 period and this is a fine example. They used great glass, had very detailed leading, and their designs matched nothing else out there. This is an excellent example of their work and the pictures tell that. Just look at the colors! Beautiful dark pink flowers with yellow centers arranged in a non-repeating pattern throughout the shade. All glass is granite backed, so when you light this one up it just fires with color. This is a great sized table lamp. The shade measures 17 1/2″ in diameter and the lamp stands about 23″ tall. I see only a few tiny hairline cracks in a few pieces of glass in the shade, but these do not detract from the lamp at all and I’m just mentioning them for accuracy. The base appears to be solid bronze and is quite heavy. It has a great petal form design which goes very well with the shade. When I bought this lamp the cap was missing, so the only thing not original to this lamp is the cap I currently have with it. I’m not sure who made it, but it goes just fine with the shade and unless you are extremely picky about things being 100% perfect, this is a super minor detail. The base has its original Hubbell sockets with acorn pull chains. It has been wired and the lamp comes ready to use and enjoy. Gorham lamps are very rare and don’t come up too often on or even at well known auction houses. How many times have you seen one???? Well here you go! In addition, I am offering this lamp with no reserve and it will sell to the high bidder on 4/22. Successful bidder to pay $65 shipping/insurance on this lamp. Also please note that NY residents without a valid resale number will also have to pay 8% sales tax. Finally please see my other listings for some other great lamps, bases and parts listed as both buy-it-now and regular auctions.
