Up for your consideration is this original 1930’s era FRANKART NUDE ART DECO GREEN ROMAN GODDESS STATUE SMOKING STAND. I was told that the two empty compartments had containers one for cigarettes and one as an ashtray – but I am not sure. I do NOT have the containers. I got this from the original owner who recently passed away. The kids sold this with some other items when they sold the house. They said this was one of the showpieces in her living room for over fifty plus years. It has a few scratches, but NO cracks, or breaks, or repairs -and it is NOT a reproduction. It retains approx 95% or more of its original finish. It stands approx 10 1/2 inches tall. There are no issues – I can find nothing wrong with this -It is an unmolested original piece. It has a wonderful old patina that I have not disturbed – I have not even tried to clean it (there is some dirt in a few spots) because I didn’t want to disturb the finish. High winning bidder can decide what they want to do. The statue is very detailed and it is very well made. It is sharp & crisp – my pictures do not do it justice. I showed this to a collector friend of mine and he said this is a very rare piece of FRANKART. If you should have please email me – for I do not know very much about art deco stuff.
