ANTIQUE CARVED WOOD BRACKETS
Wonderful pair of antique carved wood shelf or porch brackets measuring 16" long, 12-1/4" deep and about 1-1/2" wide. Featuring sturdy corner brackets with a decorative fleur de lis angled brace, brackets date to around the turn of last century and one graced a house in Ohio. Bearing original white paint, they still have some of the mount nails sticking out of the wood. I purchased these to use as decorative supports for a shelf over a window — just never got around to it. Sturdy, solid and ready to hang (I’d remove the nails first with a pliers), they would be adorable in any shabby or chic decorating theme. Condition is very nice with no gouges, splits, or major damage – one of the fleur de lis pieces was reglued – does not detract – paint is worn with drips and wood exposed areas – I actually lightly sanded these so that the paint would not flake off further, so they are smoother to the touch. Large, simple and charming, they would be a lovely addition to any home or display!
