My gues is that the maidens at Mary’s feet are “brides” novice nuns? preparing to bond with and “marry” Christ as their husband? With Mary blessing them…would be my guess…an old picture,and different,not a scene you see every day of the Virgin Mary…obvious signs of cardboard frame wear but print is good and covered with thin plastic protective covering…
