RARE ANTIQUE REGIMENTAL DESK SEAL WITH CARVED INTAGLIO : XX and motto OMNIA AUDAX
We have on offer this Rare antique regimental desk seal with ox bone handle and a carved carnelian intaglio of crown ,flags , XX and motto ‘OMNIA AUDAX’ ( which translates to ‘Daring in all things’) c 1800’s. The seal measures 24.7mm by 21.2mm or 1” by 7/8” at the base and 78mm or 3 1/8” in length . There are no chips or cracks to the intaglio, the ox bone handle shows some light scratches. We think this seal is possibly of East Devonshire 20th regiment later Lancashire Fusiliers .
