This is a delightful vintage hand embroidered tablecloth with different coloured crinoline ladies to the four corners all surrounded by wonderful flowers in a cottage garden.
This cloth has been so beautifully embroidered-the raised detail on the flowers has been so well stitched on quality linen- I’ve tried to show the detail in my pictures.Skilled embroidery has also been used on the crinoline skirts – all finely stitched.
Another lovely example of the skills from the 1940’s.
Measures a good size at 51 x 50 inches (130 x 127 cms) and comes freshly laundered and in lovely condition.
