1939 New York Worlds Fair DC-3 Airplane Lamp

  The  limited edition authentic “1939 N.Y. Worlds Fair” DC-3 Airplane lamp   depicts the legendary DC-3 airplane in flight over the world as a globe representing the 1939 New York Worlds Fair Trylon and Perishere and a band running on the diagonal and “1939 Worlds Fair” detailed on the vintage Art Deco 1939  glass globe. This very unique airplane lamp was one of the original Art deco period props  that was created for the set decorators and prop houses for Hollywood’s movie industry in  the early 1990s. The airplane was detailed with more of the Art Deco relief in the design and is better quality made than the original 1930’s castings the base & DC-3 bronze molds were designed and made by new Grammy Award designer & maker John Billings             {YouTubeVideo} http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zm2aUsyHaqw feature=fvst/ then expertly detailed polished,  and this is not a reproduction it’s all original. The dimensions of this fabulous item is 16″ inches high and 12 inches wide ,the cabin & wing separate for easy bulb replacement. The airplane swivels up or down and has 3 way switch on the base that controls the plane light or base light separately.
