Condition: Evidence of interior oblong open bubble at mold seam junction between LONDON and BY THE…” tinted yellow,   ping at collar,   1/16″ exterior round open bubble below collar,  mold seam ends in neck before collar,  crazing at neck,   bubbles in glass,   no chips or cracks.


The Famous English Medicine Bottle was sold from 1744 to about 1906. A period spanning over 150 years. Robert Turlington settled on this bottle design in 1754 to counteract piracy.


Description based on my observation not as a bottle expert.

PING: small impact mark less than 1/16″ smaller than a ding,  CRAZING: vertical lines in the neck of bottle that almost look like faint cracks but are the result of twisting & cooling process during manufacture. OPEN BUBBLE: a bubble that has become opened to the outside air, either inside or outside the bottle.
