A rare antique sterling silver mounted photo frame of large proportions with faux tortoiseshell front. Fully hallmarked with the leopard’s head for the assay town of London, the lion passant for the sterling standard guarantee, and the date letter ‘b’ for the year 1914. Maker’s mark: CD for Charles Henry Dusmenil.
Great size and condition, a fine hairline crack top left hand corner (photo 5) and a shell worm nibble to the other side (photo 6) both easily restorable, sturdy, complete and very clean original condition. Original back with old replacement easel stand. A rare example.
