Antique Wall ClockSeth Thomas ClockRR Station/School/Library ClockOak

Antique Hi! Fresh from a nice old Maine estate is this wonderful antique turn-of-the-century Seth Thomas Rail Road Station/Library/School Oak Cased Wall Clock-in very good repairable condition! The pendulum and a key are included.I am not sure of the exact age of the clock, but I am guessing it was built in the early 1900’s.The simple key-wind movement functions with a swinging weighted brass pendulum. This is a non-chiming eight day brass movement which is signed with the “ST” trademark, “Made In U.S.America”,and is marked “5 7/8″ on the lower left corner(pictured). The movement is very clean and,up until today, was keeping good time. When I wound it,the ratchet arm let loose and the spring unwound(pictured) but did not break. If I move the arm back into the ratchet by hand,it will hold the spring tight, however I am guessing it will need miner repairs before it is used on a regualr basis. The solid oak case, with the acception of a few light character adding blemishes from use and moving around,is gorgeous! The dimensions of the case are: 18 3/4″ across the top x 22 13/16″ tall x 5 1/2” deep and it weighs just under 15 pounds. This looks great on a cabin wall and, once it is repaired, will keep time even if the power is out! This is to be sold As-Is-For Restoration due to the ratchet.I will be listing a nice selection of vintage and antique clocks from my collection in the next few weeks.Keep watching-maybe you will find that unique time piece that you have been searching for.Thank you for viewing! if you have or would like additional photos. Happy Bidding :0)
