Beautifull Victorian silk crepe Wedding dress or Ball gown from 1884-6. Of course it needs bustle underneath to bring up all the intricate water like folds.Wonderfull dress to study cut,( the folds are amazing ) for display or exhibit. The fabric still strong and if the linen lining can be removed it can be cleaned. Somone alter the dress sometime ago, the bust area is taken in as the picture with my hand shows so there is some fabric on both sides to let out, also the train was shorten , but thankfully just folded, and stiffened linen lining clearly shows it’s folded in to shorten.The dress is quite dusty in places and needs cleaning, please study picture for dirty spots. Lovely pearl buttons. Size 10-12 waist and bust very small ,maybe size 8.
