This 19th Century hand hewn wooden trencher or chopping bowl with outstanding old, original blue paint is from my personal collection. It is in very good condition with no cracks. The paint is pleasingly worn from handling and repeated washings over the years and there are old knife or chop marks on the inside of the bowl as well as some old staining. There is a small hole at one end that was made so the bowl could be hung. It measures 19 3/4″ by 10 1/2″ and is 3 3/4″ deep. A primitive treasure!

This auction is the sole property of yankeei and any unauthorized reproduction of either the listed item or written text contained within the listing is prohibited.
No international bidders please. I ship to the United States only.
I make every effort to respond to all questions and am on the computer many times during the course of any given day. Because all my listings end during the evening hours, I am often not on the computer during the last several hours of an auction so please ask questions early.
I am happy to combine multiple purchases in one box whenever possible, and safe to do so, in order to save you money on shipping costs. If you have won an item and are planning to bid on another, please let me know before I pack up your first purchase and send an invoice.
Buyer pays shipping. I ship items either via the US Postal Service or UPS Ground. If you are unhappy with the shipping charges you paid, it is more appropriate to register your displeasure with either the US Postal Service or UPS, (not the website feedback rating system), since they are the ones who set the rates I charge you. I NEVER tack on any packing, handling or hidden fees. Payment must be received within 5 days.
Please take a moment to view my other listings of antiques, mostly primitives, and items in hard to find and most coveted old paint. Thanks for looking.
A note about AAFA: AAFA stands for Antique Americana & Folk Art. I am pleased to be among a select group of invited website sellers who specialize in the sale of antiques, primitives and folk art. When you see AAFA in an item title, it should mean that the item is a true unenhanced antique and not a “vintageâ€, altered, or newly crafted piece. There are some unauthorized website sellers who are applying the AAFA banner without permission to items that do not meet our criteria. They are trying to capitalize on a reputation and client base that we have attempted to build over the past 4 years. Before an “AAFA†item, please read the seller’s description carefully, (be wary of wording like, “AAFA Likeâ€, “Antique Like†or “antique style“), and review their feedback. We are working to challenge any false use of “AAFAâ€.
