This is a truly meaningful antique hand woven textile from the Pende tribes, probably Saryk. The wool is of exceptional quality and the piece has full pile. Missing knots on the sides as shown on the pictures, otherwise complete. Has slight color shifting mostly visible in few spot areas on the back. The design is typical Saryk primary and secondary guls as well as the floral decorations of the beautiful elem. This is a very rare and collectible Turkoman chuval which will be an asset in any fine collection.
