This bisque head German doll has issues but has a beautiful face and really displays very well. She is 20″ long with bisque head and arms. Her bisque head is marked 7 1/2 148. She was made by ther German firm of Kestner Ca. 1897. She has sleep brown glass eyes that work perfectly – she has a small chip in the corner of her right eye – open mouth 4 teeth – the head has been cracked on the lower left side at the back of her head/shoulderplate and has been repaired as shown in the pictures. human hair wig needs some TLC but is in good condition. The hands are bisque and the very end of the thumb on the left hand is missing. Her body was kid leather but someone in the past has made a cloth cover to go over the leather and I feel they did that because the kid body was in poor condition – I have not tried to remove the cloth overlay. No odors and comes from a smoke free home.
