THIS AUCTION IS FOR A LOVELY ANTIQUE BOHEMIAN GLASS VASE, DATING FROM THE 19TH CENTURY. THE VASE IS MADE FROM CRANBERRY GLASS WITH A WHITE OVERLAY CUT THROUGH TO REVEAL THE RED. THE WHITE, GOTHIC SPEARHEAD-SHAPED OVERLAY IS BORDERED WITH GILDING AND THERE IS GILDING ON THE CRANBERRY GLASS AROUND THE OVERLAY.
THERE IS A FAINT MARK ON THE BASE OF THIS VASE, WHICH LOOKS LIKE A CROWN WITH A SHIELD BENEATH, OR POSSIBLY A GOTHIC “M”.
THE VASE MEASURES APPROXIMATELY 7 INCHES TALL.
IN OVERALL VERY GOOD ANTIQUE CONDITION. NO CHIPS, CRACKS OR RESTORATION. THERE IS SOME WEAR TO THE GILDING (COMMENSURATE WITH AGE). PLEASE VIEW PHOTOS FOR ALL DETAILS.
