HERE IS A FANTASTIC ANTIQUE CIRCA EARLY 1800S PRIMITIVE FOLK ART SILHOUETTE OF PRESIDENT THOMAS JEFFERSON
THIS IS RARE IN 2 ASPECTS; FIRST, YOU RARELY SEE JEFFERSON SILHOUETTES; AND SECOND, IT IS A FULL BODY SILHOUETTE INSTEAD OF JUST THE BUST.
THERE IS A CHANCE THAT THE FRAME IS ORIGINAL TO THE PIECE BUT IT’S IMPOSSIBLE TO SAY
THE SILHOUETTE AS YOU CAN SEE WAS BACKED AT SOME POINT WITH A MORE MODERN BACKING. IT SHOULD BE ON AN ACID FREE BACKING BUT I’LL LEAVE THAT UP TO YOU TO DO. OVERALL THE PIECE IS IN GREAT SHAPE WITH SOME MINOR WEAR HERE AND THERE.
THE ENTIRE PIECE MEASURES 14 7/8 INCHES TALL, 12 3/8 INCHES WIDE, AND 1 1/8 INCHES THICK
