A gorgeous antique cut glass dresser jar with a sterling silver lid and sterling silver mount / holder . The jar is approx 9cm high and the dia of the base is approx 3.5cm. The jar is unusual as it has a sterling silver holder which has a central cartouche with a monogram (poss. L C ) in script and has a lovely Victorian / Edwardian design of scrolls and flowers on the holder which surrounds the glass bottle.( It is possible to remove the glass from the holder). The lid has a shell motif . The lid has become a little fragile and there are a couple of small dings and a slightly rough edge can be felt around the edge of the shell shape (approx 1.5cm ) as the silver has become worn and there is a tiny split. This can not really be seen when displayed but care needs to be taken with the lid to avoid further damage unless it is repaired. The jar could also be used without the lid.
