Yes, it started with a prime for a second. Did not want to try to start it without some further preparation. These old giants are a blast to run as well as display in your collection. With a good tune up, including the electrical system, this one has the potential to be a running chainsaw. The chain has about 60% life left in it. The upper bar guide shows some wear from the chain coming loose. The bottom of the helper handle damaged and the bottom of the handlebars are worn and broken at the seam on one side, as pictured. All in all a nice find for a piece of Early American of Logging History.
