You’re an antique cast bronze US mailbox door which is in original as found condition with no damage that I have noticed.
It’s about 5 1/2″ x 6 1/4″ and has the original beveled glass intact.
You’ll have to figure out the combination yourself to be able to open and close the door.
We’ve been able to open the door but not with the combination.
  The letters U and S are in the upper corners as shown.
The original patent date is Feb, 25, 1896 and the last patent date is April 4 1911.
You’ll need to do minor cleaning on the door as we have left it as found and haven’t cleaned it up.

Unfortunately we have no control over the high cost of shipping. We generally ship via Priority Mail because we’ve found it to be safer and usually we can use their boxes which saves costs. Heavier items can be shipped via Parcel Post or UPS whichever is cheaper and books will be shipped Media Mail. We weigh the items as we list them and the shipping cost is calculated with ‘s shipping calculator. We generally add a $1.00 shipping fee to cover the cost of shipping supplies.
We do our best to accurately describe and picture all of our items but of course we are not perfect and can make errors. We allow returns within 5 days only if we have mistakenly inaccurately described an item. Buyer pays return shipping fees and the item must be returned in the same condition and packing as when we sent it.
Please ask that you may have before you bid, as we want you to be happy with your purchase.
If after receiving your item you feel that you have a reason to give us less than a 5 star rating please communicate with us so that we can resolve any issues.
