I am listing a collection of vintage watches and watch cases that I purchased from a recent area estate. Most of the watches in the collection are non-working and will be for parts or repair. However, some of them do work and will be identified as such.
This auction is for a beautiful lever set Seth Thomas non-working pocket watch. The movement is marked “Seth Thomas”, “Thomaston, Conn”, “Safety Pinion”, “127181”. The back cover of the case is marked with the emblem of a lion and “Warranted”, with the serial number “309089”. The secondary inside back cover has a crown and “Guaranteed 20 Years”, with the serial number “309089”. The front cover has only the serial number “309089”. Outside, the back cover has a beautiful floral design over a pole fence. There is also an elegant intertwined monogram at the bottom that looks like ECG in cursive. The monogram is relatively small and unobtrusive. The front cover has the same floral design, but there is a beautiful bird in the center. The watch and the case needs to be cleaned and polished! There is a little small dent on the right side as shown in the first photo, but I do not see any others. There is some expected evidence of use consistent with age, but overall this piece is in wonderful condition. It looks like the light scratches on the case should polish out fairly easily. There is a VERY tight hairline crack on the face, from 12 to 4, that is almost invisible to the naked eye. The crystal appears to be in . Visually, the case looks to be at least gold plated, but there are no markings indicating that it is. The closures work fine and are snug. The case measures 1.633″ outside diameter and .481″ thickness. The movement diameter, from the back without taking it out, measures about 1.270″. Packed weight is approximately 6 oz.

are likely to have at least some signs of age and evidence of wear

item and describe for you everything I see, good and bad. I encourage

carefully and as economically as possible to keep the buyer’s
shipping costs down. I will also always utilize combined shipping for
multiple purchases, whenever practical, in an effort to further help
reduce costs. For your and my peace of mind, Delivery Confirmation is added to all packages shipped. It is included in the shipping costs stated. Also, if you are more than one item, I will wait until auctions are completed before sending an invoice if you wish.
