This auction is for an antique 1900 era German self cooking food container lunch box, marked: BLASBERG – SELBSTKOCHER – DEUTSCHES REICHSPATENT – This rare self cooker/lunch box is designed to slowly cook food in the two enamelware containers inside. It has a heating element disc in the inside bottom and 1″ thick walls on the main container with 2 enamelware containers with handles and locking lids inside. The enamelware containers appear just very lightly used with just a few tiny specks of missing enamel and the main container shows normal storage wear on the outside with some scuffs and scratches but overall this complete unit is fully functional and in very good condition. It measures 9 1/2″ in diameter, 8 3/4″ tall and weighs 7 lbs. 8 ozs. The enamelware containers are 6 1/2″ in diameter, 3″ tall and weigh 1 lb. 4 ozs. each.
