Boss model, 16 size, open face, 20 year yellow gold fill, slot right, swingout, fancy dress or railroad case! Take a second gander at that big fine 4-4-2 ALCO locomotive motivating down the mainline in back there – “All Aboard!†They went west and they never came back! This fine and fancy Keystone J. Boss model case is in fully serviceable condition. The bezel threads up easily, screws on and off smoothly, and seats tight. The replacement crown’s fluting is worn but still very “grippable†for a tight, sure wind, and it turns freely and extracts properly to set pendant-set time and release the swing-ring, which then pops out easily and seats back down inside flush. The bow is brassed and discolored but appears undamaged, and holds tight to positions. The crystal is missing and will need to be replaced. This fine case fits all standard-featured 16 size pendant-set and lever-set movements. The case does show moderate wear, including brass to the stem, crown, bow and back, a slight bit to the bottom of the bezel and general pocket wear, it’s got spots of missing gold fill and has definitely been around the block, but best of all, after all those years of faithful service and almost unbelieveably given its evident use, no appreciable dents, dings, dimples or depressions!
