Now offering an American Waltham Traveler model 1908. The watch is in very fine condition and working order. The movement is circa 1914 per Waltham records and crafted in size 16 with 7 jewels. It has run flawlessly for over a week and keeps very reasonable time for a 98 year old watch! Monogram badge has been engraved as pictured. The case is by Philadelphia Watch Case Company, Victory model and was issued as a ten year case. How often do you see a product 88 years out of warranty that would still satisfy it? The Florentine reverse is very fine and show little to no wear. The same can be said for the coin edge on this case. Bow and crown are both like new but original. Hands are blued steel, all present and in . The one weakness is a very fine hairline in the porcelain dial as pictured. Crystal is mineral, not acrylic and I believe original showing no damage.
Rarely do you come across a watch in this condition, especially since the case strippers have begun the destruction of fine watches for scrap. Please understand that these fine watches are being butchered daily for scrap gold and I am doing what I can to find a few owners who appreciate them for the American art form that they are but they are antiques and for that reason no warranty is given or implied. If however you are unhappy with ANY purchase please contact me and I will do my best to add you to the list of happy new pocket watch owners.
Thank you…and remember…time marches on!
