is a truly gorgeous 19th Century Wedgwood Blue and White Jasperware Cheese Dome. The dome is a complete set with it’s original matching under plate, also decorated in Blue and White. There are figures around the entire outside and a lovely pattern around the top, all crisply detailed and amongst the best I have seen. The dome is a very nice sized set measuring approx 5″ tall to the top of the handle by 6-7/8″ across the opening of the dome, 7″ across the serving portion of the under plate and 9-1/2″ across the top of the under plate. This gorgeous service is in very good condition with no chips, cracks or repairs to the Dome, just a couple chips to the underside of the plate, which don’t show when on display or in use. The under plate is fully marked as seen in the photos and though I am no expert on Wedgwood marks, I believe it dates to the late Victorian period. The dome was originally designed for serving Cheese, but I think it would be perfect for serving small cakes or desserts now a days. I don’t think you will find too many others like this come up for auction, especially with NO RESERVES ! BEST OF LUCK WITH ALL OF OUR ESTATE AUCTIONS !!

Returns:
We make great effort to accurately describe each item listed. Returns are accepted, if either condition, country of origin or dating we state is significantly incorrect. In such cases we refund your shipping costs as well. Like you, we are only human, and make mistakes. Hopefully, not too many. But remember, the items you see are antiques. Hence, have an expected amount of wear from normal use. As such, returning an item because we failed to mention the tiniest bit of wear, or barely discernible flaw is not acceptable. Nor do we accept returns based on buyer’s remorse, change of taste, or because a buyer did not realize how “small” four inches might be once in hand. Also all returns must be posted within 3 days of delivery confirmation.
