ANTIQUE STERLING SILVER PICTURE FRAME
Lovely antique sterling silver over wood picture frame measuring 6-1/3" tall by 4-3/4" wide – actual opening is 5-1/3" tall by 3-3/4" wide. Featuring a simple border approximately 1/2" deep, it retains the original glass and contains the image of a little girl in studio photograph – back is mounted with old velvet over cardboard and stand with ribbon flange. Marked STERLING 4209, it has the axe and triple X mark of William B. Kerr and Co. (purchased by Gorham in 1906). Guessing this dates at the turn of last century. Condition is good with light denting on each edge as shown – does not detract a bit – could also use a good polish.Think this is a lovely antique frame – simple and elegant design compliments any photo. Wonderful addition to any collection or display and priced with the minor denting in mind.
