Old, Antique Majolica Pottery Green,Brown & Golden Yellow Glaze LEAF PLATE or Dish
this dish measures 12.25 inches across widest width X 8 inches X 2.25 inches at tallest height
wonderful raised leaf veining seen throughout with green glazed center, then rich brown and golden ochre yellow tones along edges (there are about 6 small nick chips seen along the outside edge -the largest being a triangular chip gone from the yellow outer leaf’s edge- see 3rd pic)
back side has cream glaze with heavy crazing all over; there are two impressions in the clay center which I cannot read (one looks like an English styled 7, another looks like a misshapen S); black glaze 44 marked at center side
there are 2 small dark hairline cracks seen on back side and 2 surface chips seen along back side edge
