This is a beautiful matched pair of Haviland & Co. oyster or clam plates. They have an unusual green, white & yellowish iridescent glossy glaze and trimmed with gold. There are 6 wells in each plate. They are marked H & Co, L, France which is Haviland and Co., Limoges. Each is 9″ in diameter and stands 1.25″ tall. They are footed or sit on a circular rim. One of the plates has a small fleabite on the inside of the base rim. Other than some wear to the gold they are in very good condition. They have no cracks, chips (except for the one mentioned) or crazing. They are quite lovely.
