Here is a pile of antique sterling silver items. Some pieces are in good shape. Some pieces could be restored. Some pieces may be beyond repair. Both knives pictured have filled sterling handles. The smaller knife has a sterling blade.
The pile of solid sterling pieces (without the knives) weighs 17.961 ounces. The knife with the solid sterling blade and filled handle weighs 1.375 ounce. The knife with the flowers and plated steel blade weighs 2.455 ounces. So, I’m sure the combined weight of silver must be 18.? ounces, or maybe even over 19 ounces.
