Reluctantly selling my Seth Thomas City Series Collection. This is a very unusual ,maybe even rare DOVER.Why ? because is has a 8 day alarm with a version of WINDWARD’S PATENT RAILWAY ALARUM(ALARM) that alternatingly strikes both on a gong and a bell like a normnal alarm strikes on. There is a lever on top of the case to shut off the alarm .There is no date on back of case but a ST Book says 1890..However there is a large label on back about setting the clock..21 1/2 ” high case in great shape no crazing ,I dont know if original finish or not .5 1/2″ original paper dial with Seth Thomas spelt out under the center shaft with embossed brass bezel..The dial seat board is in great shape. Has the snowflake or starburst pendulum. Mvmt has Geneva Stops intact on time side. The alarm, works off of what was once the strike side and the geneva stops were not used . Mvmt is in running and alarm striking orded but who knows after shipping.. On the bottom cross piece of the mvmt it has a ST logo and next to it is MADE IN USA Side door latch to lock the door. Glass with design apperas original but could be a replacement long time ago. Has a partial label in the bottom. by Parcel Post Insured with confirm for $25 only in the United States.unless other service requested. VERY REASONABLE RESERVE SET…….NO RETURNS
