I purchased this antique quilt over 10 years ago at a local estate sale. It is the only quilt I ever purchased, thought it was so beautiful. I always meant to hang it, but never had the room. It has been sitting in a closet all this time. Figured it was time someone else could really enjoy it. While I deal in antiques I really know very little about quilts. I am hoping a lot of pictures will help you determine its value and condition. It is a white quilt measuring approx 84” by 80”. The quilting is very well done with even tiny stitching with a real eye for detail. The stitching on the white echoes the design that is quilted in red and green. The condition is as shown. This is probably from the 1800’s so perhaps the condition is okay for such an old quilt. There is some loss of red on three of the four pinwheels and a few other places. Near the edges there is some fraying. There is a bit of yellowing but I never washed it for fear of damaging it, and this may clean up. It is being sold AS IS so please look carefully at the photos. As you can see it displays beautifully. It looks to have a strip on the back that a rod could go through for hanging. I hope it finds a loving home!
