Unusual French Victorian double-sided domed silver oval Locket, approx. 26 x 21 x 8 mm, with a hand-engraved and enamelled design based on an 8 sided sunflower-like shape with a striated centre. Gold washed interior with hinged framed thick glass divider.
Hallmarked with the French Boar’s Head for Silver. Approx. weight 7 grams. Extra Silver split Ring fitted to top to enable hanging from period chain.
Very good condition. It has a deep domed shape to keep a secret instead of containing the more recent photo frame edges.
